Good Taste

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
Psalm 34:8, NKJV

Parents who urge their children to eat nutritious foods often face considerable resistance. Kids are creatures of habit who may prefer to stick with their french fries and fruit loops. Their refusal to experiment with alternative fare results in a bland and boring diet.

An acquired taste is an appetite for food with a strong aroma or a strange texture. Although most people may not relish the food’s flavor or mouthfeel at first, they learn to savor it eventually. Sometimes it takes a while to appreciate a true delicacy.

Perhaps you have had experiences with God, church, or other Christians that have left a bad taste in your mouth. Don’t let that stop you from ever trying Him again. It may take a while to appreciate this truth, but if you taste you will see that the Lord is good.
