A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity.
Proverbs 17:17, NKJV
Sometimes life throws you a curve ball. Your doctor wants to run some tests. Your employer begins using the word “downsizing.” The unkind remarks of a friend get back to you. Your child’s teacher schedules a conference. The bills outnumber the paychecks.
Life is not a television sitcom. Every crisis is not solved in thirty minutes with a punch line and a laugh track. Living in a fallen world means some of our days will bring pain, sorrow, and discouragement. Such days can be blessings in disguise for they reveal our true friends.
If you have a problem today, thank the friend who is there for you. If someone you know is struggling, be there for them. Remember that no matter your problem, Jesus is a Friend who loves at all times and will always be there for you.
