Many children grow up playing sports. Their parents purchase uniforms, pay league fees, take them to practice, sign up for snacks and drinks, and cheer them on during the games. Mom and Dad want their child to have fun, make friends, play by the rules, win humbly, and lose gracefully.
During these seasons, a kid’s biggest fan is a parent in the stands recording a highlight reel in their mind which they will replay nostalgically long after the cleats have been hung up and the uniforms are faded and outgrown.
As Christians, we are children of a Heavenly Father who is unquestionably for us. Whether we win or lose, He will always love us, protect us, provide for us, and seek our good. There is simply no opponent who can ever stand between us and our Biggest Fan.
