For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16, NKJV
“For the love of God!” Have you ever heard someone use this exclamation? The love of God is not a throw away line or a truth to take for granted. The Bible teaches that God’s love is for the world—a designation not exclusive in the least. God loves everyone. God loves you.
God proved His love by sending His Son to die on the cross. But how do we accept His offer of salvation? Universalism teaches all people are saved. Works salvation teaches only good people are saved. But the Bible teaches we are saved by God’s grace appropriated through our faith. “Whoever believes” in Jesus is saved. This means you can be saved today if you turn from your sins and trust in Christ. Ask Jesus to forgive you and come into your heart.
