He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.
Colossians 1:13, NKJV
Paul knew all about divine deliverance. Once a persecutor of the saints, he saw the Light the day Jesus appeared to him on the road to Damascus. He was handed over from the authority of Satan to the Kingdom of Jesus. Years later, Paul was falsely accused and thrown in jail in Caesarea. Learning of a plot on his life, he appealed his case to the emperor, and was once again delivered from a wicked dominion and carried off to better quarters in the Kingdom.
Paul wrote this verse under house arrest in Rome. Although under guard, he was allowed to receive guests and teach freely, perhaps more freely than when he had been on the outside. Do you need deliverance today? Call on Jesus and He will carry you to His Kingdom of love.
