To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven.
Ecclesiastes 3:1, NKJV
In a worship service recently, our congregation was richly blessed by the song Every Season. Composed and recorded by Nichole Nordeman about two decades ago, it wistfully describes the playful fun of summer, the cool breezes of autumn, the quiet stillness of winter, and the fresh promise of spring. We see God’s Hand at work with every passing season of our lives.
God is not only active in opening the flowers, shaping the trees, and drawing the course for every river’s journey. He is also actively changing you and me. We are not the same in every season. We learn. We bend. We grow. We mellow. Praise God for changing both seasons and souls. He knows exactly what we need in every stage of our lives. In every season, He works out His purpose in us.
